Visit the Community Engagement Navigator (in uOzone)
An important part of advancing in your career in psychology is to take advantage of volunteering opportunities to network, gain experience (which looks great on your CV!) and help out the community. Note that volunteer hours other than ones obtained through an affiliation with the university can also be registered with the university so that they show up on your official transcript through your Co-Curricular Record (CCR). Click here for more information about your CCR.
Government Agencies
Many government agencies offer you the chance to volunteer in various interesting settings. An example of such could be working inside provincial or federal correctional facilities to help out with programming or working child services.
Student resources
The University of Ottawa Student Union is also a great resource to find student opportunities! They provide information regarding job postings with the university and in the greater Ottawa community.
